What materials are/are not acceptable at a single stream recycling facility?
In general all materials that are typically source seperated or picked up curbside for recycyling are acceptable.
The following materials are acceptable:
Mixed paper Plastic Containers #1 through #7 - clear and colored
Newspaper Tin Cans
Office paper Aluminum Cans and trays
Cardboard Glass Bottles & Jars - clear and colored
Box board
The following mattereials are not acceptable:
Scrap Metal Tires
Bulky Wastes Bateries
Tires Trash or other waste materials
How are materials delivered?
Single Stream materials can be delivered either loose or compacted in a varity of hauling vehicles including open top containers, compacted boxes or trailers, and in packers.
How does the process work?
The facility will use state of the art equipment which will sort the materials into various recyclable streams and bale or process materials for transport to market. See how the process works (YouTube)
