The Concord Regional Resourse Recovery and Recycling Cooperative
Serving the State of New Hampshire since 1985!

The Concord Regional Solid Waste/Resource Recovery Cooperative (The Cooperative) is a New Hampshire non-profit cooperative corporation formed in 1985 constituting a body politic and corporate and a public instrumentality of the state to carry out a public purpose and essential governmental function of providing soild waste disposal and recycling services for the particpating communities.  

The Cooperative is governed by a 25-member Joint Board with each community having one representative. Voting by the Joint Board is weighted by population.  (Member Communities).
 
The 25 communities have an estimated 2010 population of 163,770 and delivered 100,000 tons to the waste-to energy facility in 2010.
 
The Cooperative Owns and operates an ash landfrill located in Franklin, NH (Landfill) which receives all the ash from the waste-to energy facilty in Penaccok, NH.  In 2010 the landfill received approximatly 85,000 tons of ash. 

Single Stream Recycling Project

The first single stream recycling facility in the State of New Hampshire is on the way! The Co-op and 22 addtional New Hampshire communities have banded together to build a state of the art recycling facility in Concord, NH. The New Hampshire Cooperative Recycing Facility will process up to 70,000 tons of single stream material annualy.
