The Co-op's award winning ash landfill is located off Punch Brook Road in Franklin, NH. The ash landfill is a double lined facility with leachate collection and treatment systems. The landfill accepts ash only from the Wheelabrator waste-to-energy facility in Penacook. Landfill construction has taken place in five adjoining phases. Currently Phase V is accepting ash and has remaing capacity through 2014. Prior to 2014 the Co-op will apply to NHDES for further expansion.
